Elders are in Town

We had a busy weekend! Scott's parents Sue and Tuck came up for their annual 4th of July visit (although they didn't stay for the 4th this year since it's in the middle of the week). We had a great time and went lots of places. I'll split it up by day to make it not so overwhelming. Friday night we just enjoyed dinner and then played some Settlers to end the night.

Saturday morning Tuck's wrist was really bothering him so he spent most of his morning soaking his wrist in a tub of Epsom salt. I couldn't resist taking this picture it's classic! Tuck is sitting on our deck soaking his wrist while smoking and gotta love those sunglasses!! For those of you that have not met Tuck, you will never meet anyone like him! He's very set in his ways and stubborn about different things (it took us many tries to get him to take some Ibuprofen for his wrist...my mom was the one who made it happen). But Tuck is also very easy to talk to and he has so much character, he's always making different funny comments about something. Plus he ALWAYS has an idea for some sort of invention. If you get to talk to him someday, just ask him what his idea is for that week.

Sue, Scott and I went to the local Farmer's Market in Rochester. We ended up buying some expensive (but VERY good) tomatoes, some lettuce and some kohlrabi for Scott's brother Jay. I took a couple pictures that I played around with on Photoshop.

Later on Saturday we went to Red Wing to look for some boots for Tuck. Well, we didn't exactly find what we were looking for but Scott and I got some nice pictures around the area. Next time you come, Sue, we'll have to go shopping there...the boys just didn't appreciate it like we did! We went to the Red Wing Shoe factory and then to a little festival in Red Wing where they had a Civil War re-enactment (yes, Leah they apparently do exist).
